This past May, West Colfax Academy held our first in-person recital since December. We were thrilled to give students the opportunity to perform for their parents and peers!
The recital took place at Holiday Lanes - right across the street from our school! A bowling alley may seem an unusual choice, but the spacious and light-filled banquet room proved an excellent performance venue. "We hadn't used that venue before but I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out," said Director Mary Brainerd.

Afterwards, students went bowling at a discounted rate and enjoyed a meal at Holiday Lanes. "We'll use this venue again - it's close and feels like we're building community" says Mary.
