Dan Nusz has been playing drums for over twenty years, playing in Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk, Country, Heavy Metal, and Jam bands all over the country. He has over 10 years’ experience teaching a wide variety of drum styles and enjoys teaching students from all experience levels and ages.

Dan works with each student to provide a fun, personalized, and scalable lesson plan that ensures every lesson is tailored to the student’s ability and musical tastes.  He strives to build each student's technique, creativity, song and style repertoire, and ability to improvise,  Additionally, to give students a better feel for incorporating drums into all aspects of music, or to help students prepare for playing in a band, Dan will often accompany students on guitar or bass.  

Experience: 26 years. Shaun is comfortable teaching: Under 6 Years Children, Young Adults, Adults. Shaun began playing percussion/drums at the age of 12. Over the years, Shaun developed his skills further by playing in: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Full Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Drum line for Lakewood High School! Shaun gained performance experience in the Denver metro area by playing at such venues as Red Rocks, several band and Jazz band competitions, as well as, traveling the state and even the country playing drum line competitions for Lakewood High School, including taking 1st place at Nationals his freshman and sophomore year of high school!! Also, Shaun was in a couple pretty big local bands where he would play the Blue Bird, the Gothic, Cervantes, the Fillmore, etc...with acts such as Forever Departed and Private Reserve. Though he can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz and rock kit playing, concert/Symphonic band, and of course drumline which had great influence on his style of playing. Shaun also loves to play Worship music at Grace Fellowship of Lakewood. Shaun loves music because it's his escape from trouble and helps him regroup. Not to mention it is SO FUN! Shaun loves teaching music because of his late father (David Lebsack) who was a band director for 34 years and he instilled in Shaun his love for all things music! Shaun is very eclectic and LOVES ALL genres of music! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Shaun can help you expand and enhance your playing, while developing your "chops."  Shaun is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
