West Colfax Academy is the number one guitar lessons program in Lakewood, Littleton, Wheat Ridge, Evergreen, Arvada, and other surrounding communities in West Denver!

UKULELE  AND ELECTRIC BASS:  The first lessons include learning about the instrument, reading tablature, understanding the notes on the fretboard, and learning about the chords.  There are many songs that you can play in your first lesson!  After gaining more knowledge, students can progress to more advanced lessons such as strumming and playing advanced songs as well as picking out melodies.

(AGES FIVE AND UP) Our guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic guitars. Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of guitar method books based on student needs and preferences and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.

What styles of guitar do you teach?

All styles, rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country and classical guitar- electric or acoustic.
